The American Board of Aesthetic Gynecology (ABAGyn) is a specialty association dedicated to educating both physicians and patients about aesthetic gynecology. ABAGyn fellows are board certified gynecologists, urologists and urogynecologists with special training in aesthetic gynecology, particularly plastic surgeries of the vulva and vagina.

That the surgeon is a board-certified or board-eligible gynecologist or urologist who has completed and ABAGyn approved training program in Aesthetic Gynecology, has passed the certification examination, and meets all criteria for maintenance of ABAGyn certification.

What is an Aesthetic Gynecologist?

An Aesthetic Gynecologist is a gynecologist, urologist or urogynecologist who specializes in restoration and/or rejuvenation of the female genitalia. Not all Aesthetic Gynecologists are ABAGyn Certified.

Why should I choose an ABAGyn certified physician?

ABAGyn certified physicians are board certified gynecologists, urologists or urogynecologists with four to seven years of postgraduate training in their respective specialties with extensive training in vaginal surgery. ABAGyn does not accept plastic surgeons, general surgeons, ENTs, or any other physicians who did not complete a board certified residency or fellowship in a subspecialty that involves vaginal surgery.
